Recently installed dynamic windows in the CN Tower observation deck include Prel-Shade Thermochromic Glass, from Suntuitive.
The dynamic glass, which was used in floor-to-ceiling windows, is sun-responsive and gradually darkens as the sun heats it. The glass darkens in proportion to the sun’s intensity to produce a reduction of heat and glare inside the building. As the sun’s intensity wanes, the glass transitions back to a clear state.
The glass allows the CN Tower observation deck to remain comfortable and offer clean views regardless of weather, temperature, or time of day.

Glass Wall Systems Open Up Closed Spaces
Sectioning off large open spaces without making everything feel closed off was the challenge faced by two very different projects—one an upscale food market in Napa Valley, the other a corporate office in Southern California. Movable glass wall systems proved to be the solution in both projects.
