University of Florida's College of Dentistry to get new Dental Clinic

SchenkelShultz, Fort Meyers, Fla., has designed the University of Florida's College of Dentistry's new $5.4 million, 20,000-sf Dental Clinic, which is under construction on the campus of Edison College in Naples, Fla. The two-story pediatric dental clinic and educational facility seeks to meet LEED Silver certification and will support clinical training for doctoral students and dentistry residents of the University of Florida. The clinic will include a patient waiting area with views of natural wooded spaces, 10 private dental operatories, four open dental operatories, two surgical dental operatories, classrooms, as well as space for future expansion. W.G. Mills, Bradenton, Fla., will serve as construction manager for the facility, which is scheduled to be completed this fall.
