Floors raise the bar with terrazzo

Floors raise the bar with terrazzo

August 11, 2010
This article first appeared in the 200805 issue of BD+C.

Raised access floor system is available with a terrazzo finish for high-traffic, decorative applications, including lobbies, hallways, and corridors. Natural marble, granite, quartz aggregate, or eco-friendly recycled glass is embedded in a flexible resin matrix and then polished to a high-gloss shine. When installed, the 24x24-inch tiles achieve the monolithic look of traditional terrazzo. Routine maintenanceis as simple as damp-mopping the floor with a nonabrasive cleaner.
