Ashley McGraw Architects, Syracuse, N.Y., is using the IES Virtual Environment for the assessment and design of a 4,000-sf media center and library addition to a school in the Liverpool Central school district, in suburban Syracuse. The design team used IES's Microflo and ApacheSim offerings to assess the planned building's energy use. Integrated with SketchUp and Revit, the IES software eased the overall workload for Ashley McGraw by providing immediate feedback during the design process.
