OMA commissioned to design newest New York High Line addition

According to ArchDaily, Rotterdam-based OMA has been commissioned by New York developer Related Companies to design its newest High Line project, at West 18^th St.

The Rem Koolhaas-led firm isn’t the only starchitect practice that Related Companies has pulled in to work on projects near the High Line. Zaha Hadid Architects was tapped to design a luxury apartment project on 520 W 28^th St., and Thomas Juul-Hansen designed two towers with a shared lobby underneath the High Line at 505 W. 19^th St., the New York Post reports.

The commission will be OMA’s first major project in New York City, ArchDaily reports. More details yet to be released.
