Owners of the first-ever floating building have applied for LEED certification. Located at Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Nevada, the building will be the operations office for the Cottonwood Cove Resort marina and is expected to earn an LEED Gold rating.
Green features include a deck made of rice hulls and recycled plastic, and an exterior stucco made of recycled tires.
