The Grand, a mixed-use project in Los Angeles

Downtown Los Angeles has $3 billion in new construction projects under development, including The Grand, a mixed-used 1.2-million-sf public-private partnership that Related Cos. is developing, according to a new report from the Downtown Center Business Improvement District.  However, JLL's latest Construction Forecast predicts a slow recovery in construction spending nationwide. Top Industrial Sector Construction Firms DPR Construction Gresham - LG Appliance

Most warehouses in the U.S. are still single-story buildings on vast land tracts. Gresham Smith helped get the 1.2-million-sf LG Electronics’ washing machine manufacturing plant back on schedule—after a five-month delay—to where production for Phase 1 commenced last October. Gresham Smith created the four-phase master plan for this plant, which will sit on 309 acres in Clarksville, Tenn., as well as the engineering. DPR Construction was the GC. Phase 1 had its grand opening on May 29. The $360 million facility hired 550 employees and expects that number to rise to 700. Photo: DPR Construction
