Armourcoat offers a range of decorative, interior plaster wall coverings for elegant, yet high-traffic spaces, such as retail stores, corporate offices, multifamily residential, and hospitality buildings. Plaster can be finished to simulate a variety of wall surfaces, including stone, marble, and concrete.

The Jacksonville, Fla., office of Nashville, Tenn.-based Gresham, Smith and Partners specified Armourcoat's polished plaster product for the spa reception area at the new Brooks Health and Fitness facility in Jacksonville. Leith Oatman, IIDA, who led GSP's interior design team on the project, selected a stone-like finish for the reception area.

The 60,500-sf facility includes amenities such as a café, large fitness and gymnasium areas, classrooms for nutrition classes, a daycare center, a salon, a spa, rehabilitation spaces, an indoor natatorium, and a therapy pool.

Why Leith Oatman specified Armourcoat: "The stone finish enhances the entrance to the public concourse, providing a textural finish like a rough travertine veneer."

"Armourcoat adds the finishing touch of contemporary elegance to the spa's entryway. It offers an exquisite seamless surface that is also economical."

"Armourcoat provides a beautiful, durable finish."
