Announcing MultifamilyPro+

MultifamilyPro+ is BD+C's new "home" for multifamily coverage—a robust content platform that serves the market with daily news, exclusive research, and more.

By David Barista, Editorial Director | October 6, 2023
BDCnetwork MultifamilyPro+ multifamily news website
The online platform will enable our team to expand coverage beyond design and construction, such as real estate financing, deal making, and property management.

On pace to surpass $130 billion in construction spending in 2023, the U.S. multifamily housing sector continues its torrid pace of growth despite market challenges and less favorable financing opportunities. The sector’s strong growth has been driven by a confluence of market trends: urbanization, housing affordability, the Boomers entering retirement, the Millennials forming households, to name a few.

BD+C has served the multifamily design and construction sector for more than 60 years, including the launch of a dedicated magazine in 2017, a weekly e-newsletter, multiple exclusive research reports, Multifamily Giants rankings, and two ProConnect in-person events.

More than 45,000 AEC and building owner/developer professionals engage with our multifamily coverage every month—for news, trends, and ideas related to rental housing, condominiums, student housing, senior living facilities, and affordable housing developments.

Introducing MultifamilyPro+

Next up is the launch of a proper “home” for all of our multifamily coverage. MultifamilyPro+ is a robust content platform within BDCnetwork.com that serves the multifamily market with daily news, emerging trends, design ideas, new technologies, exclusive research, innovative projects, new products, and more. The MultifamilyPro+ editorial team, led by Executive Editor Robert Cassidy and Managing Editor Quinn Purcell, brings more than five decades of multifamily industry editorial experience.

The online platform will enable our team to expand coverage beyond design and construction into more wide-ranging topics, such as real estate financing, deal making, property management. In fact, we've created a new navigation bar that appears at the top of your screen when interacting with MultifamilyPro+ news. This will give you quick access to our range of content, from multifamily blogs and videos to special reports.

Other core features of MultifamilyPro+ include:

  • Multifamily research database: We’re building a searchable market research database that will house—in a single place—all major third-party and in-house research reports.
  • Multifamily Annual Report: Set to debut this month, this complimentary 50-page downloadable report is the ultimate “state of the state” of all aspects of the U.S. multifamily housing sector. It will feature exclusive research, four sector trends reports, a roundup of design, construction, and development innovations, new products, and more.
  • Multifamily Giants expanded coverage: This influential group of 200+ AEC firms will offer their take on the latest projects, products, trends, market news, and innovations.
  • MultifamilyPro+ Webinar series: Market leaders will join MultifamilyPro+ editors to discuss the latest trends and market outlook.
  • Weekly e-Newsletter: Every Wednesday, we assemble the latest news, trends, projects, products, and research, delivered to your inbox.
  • HorizonTV video series: The editors interview leading developers and AEC technical experts on a host of topics.
