College Station, Texas. May 13, 2009 - Skanska USA Building Inc. announced today it has been named construction manager for the new agricultural headquarters at Texas A&M University.Â
Skanska will include $48.95 million in its second-quarter order bookings for the project. Skanska’s share of the project is 100 percent.Â
Kirksey Architecture is the architect of record for the project and provided the design for the 166,000 square foot agriculture headquarters building, 12,600 square foot visitors center, the cistern canopy for rainwater collection, associated site improvements and parking areas. The project is seeking to obtain LEED Silver certification.
The construction phase will began in May 2009 with a March 2011 expected completion date.
