In an effort to keep pace with enrollment that has grown by more than 2,500 in the past three years, the Boone County (Ky.) School District is investing more than $170 million in five new construction and renovations projects. To protect its investment and minimize maintenance costs, the school district specified nora rubber flooring for all five projects. Michael Hibbett, assistant superintendent of operations for the district, said he selected rubber flooring based on the need for vibrant colors, durability against heavy foot traffic, and eliminating the waxing and stripping process. Approximately 350,000 sf of noraplan eco, norament grano, and norament lago was installed in classrooms, corridors, cafeterias, and other areas of the five schools.
