PPG Industries and Walker Glass Co. have formed a marketing alliance to jointly market the Walker Textures line of acid-etched glass and mirrors with Starphire ultra-clear glass from PPG. Acid-etched, or frosted, glass is created when an aqueous solution of hydrofluoric acid is applied to a glass surface, resulting in a smooth satin appearance or a matted translucent appearance. Applications include dividing walls, wall coverings, office partitions, show and bath enclosures, doors, display shelving, and insulating glass units for exterior glass walls. Available in three finishes: satin, velour, and opaque.
