Wyndham Hotels has installed Illumra's wireless verde products in several of its properties. Using EnOcean technology, Illumra's wireless and batteryless energy control system consumed 33% less energy than rooms without the energy harvesting controls in a test at a 293-room hotel. The “verde” hotel room energy system uses a keycard to determine if a hotel room is vacant or occupied and controls the lights and energy usage accordingly.
