Pacific Northwest Pet ER & Specialty Center, a new 18,000 sf veterinary specialty and 24/7 emergency hospital, is currently under construction by Lorentz Bruun Construction in Vancouver, Wash.
Renovated from a former Whole Foods, the project involves demolishing the former grocery store space, framing, roughing in, and sheet rocking the 77-room hospital facility. Copper RF shielding and leaded drywall were installed in rooms housing sensitive equipment such as MRI scanners.
The project will be focused providing pets medical services including 24/7 emergency care, cardiology, oncology, interventional radiology, surgery, and internal medicine. The facility will include a large Emergency Critical Care Unit with separate canine and feline ICUs, advanced imaging modalities such as MRI and CT scan, in-house lab and testing facilities, three surgery suites, an on-site pharmacy, and a physical rehabilitation unit including hydrotherapy.
The Pacific Northwest Pet ER & Specialty Center is slated to open this summer.
