Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has unveiled the updated design for the chapter’s proposed headquarters in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood.
Dubbed the Finker-Frenkel Wish House, the parallelogram-shaped building features a glass facade and is being designed with the goal of extending the impact of the wish experience, establishing the organization’s permanence in the community, and advancing new revenue opportunities.
The building, designed by Aquitectonica, will span 30,000-sf and rise five stories. It will comprise 15,000-sf of office space and 15,000-sf of space that will serve as an innovative Wish House that includes emerging technology to provide children with an inspirational, fun, and safe destination to experience wishes.
Make-A-Wish Southern Florida’s current headquarters building is located in Fort Lauderdale. The Finker-Frenkel Wish House is expected to break ground in Miami this summer.
