Hermosa Village earns 2021 NAHB Best in American Living Award

Hermosa Village, a 238-unit apartment complex in Leander, Texas, won top honors in this year's BALA competition in the low-rise multifamily rental category.

Hermosa Village stands out in the category of "Multifamily Developments Up to 3-stories Rent."

Cadence McShane Construction Company has announced that its Hermosa Village Apartments received first place in this year's National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Best in American Living Award, in the category of "Multifamily Developments Up to 3-stories for Rent."

The project was selected out of hundreds of BALA entries based on the criteria of exterior and interior design, efficient land use, site plan creativity, building plans, innovative material application, and the ability to meet the client needs.

The "farmhouse" design of Hermosa Village captured the attention of the BALA judges.

Hermosa Village, in Leander, Texas, was completed by Cadence McShane in 2020. The apartment complex features 238 garden-style units that are designed to resemble farmhouses.

The large retort-style pool is one of the many stand-out amenities of Hermosa Village.

World’s largest 3D printer could create entire neighborhoods

The University of Maine recently unveiled the world’s largest 3D printer said to be able to create entire neighborhoods. The machine is four times larger than a preceding model that was first tested in 2019. The older model was used to create a 600 sf single-family home made of recyclable wood fiber and bio-resin materials.
