CambridgeSeven named lead architect for new Cambria Hotel

The planned Cambria Hotel in Somerville, Mass., has found its lead architect. CambridgeSeven will work alongside The Noannet Group, the projectā€™s developer, to design the upscale hotel.

Construction is set to begin on Aug. 1, 2019 at 515 Somerville Avenue. The hotel will provide 164 rooms across six floors and 98,000 sf. A a 150-seat restaurant with outdoor seating and greenspace will also be included. The greenspace will improve the overall streetscape as well as provide a little breathing room between neighboring residential buildings and the hotel.

The project, which will focus on using sustainable materials during construction, is slated for completion in February 2020.
