Women in Residential + Commercial Construction (WIR+CC) unites two long-standing women in construction conferences: Women in Design+Construction, hosted by Building Design+Construction, and Women in Residential Construction, hosted by Pro Builder and Pro Remodeler. Since 2015, these three media brands have hosted 15 women in construction leadership conferences, attracting more than 2,500 construction and design industry professionals.
WIR+CC is a national conference that brings together women leaders from all facets of the $1.4 trillion U.S. residential and commercial constructing sector — architecture, design, commercial construction, engineering, real estate development, home building, and remodeling.
The 2023 WIR+CC event will take place October 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn., and will bring together more than 300 women leaders. The event will feature keynote talks, workshops, roundtable sessions, interactive panel discussions, networking events, and plenty of fun.
The event organizers are now accepting speaker proposals for the 2023 Women in Residential + Commercial Construction Conference.

Colonnade fixes setback problem in Brooklyn condo project
The New York firm Scarano Architects was brought in by the developers of Olive Park condominiums in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn to bring the facility up to code after frame out was completed. Manhattan's Pier 57 to be transformed into $210 million cultural center
LOT-EK, Beyer Blinder Belle, and West 8 have been selected as the design team for Hudson River Park's $210 million Pier 57 redevelopment, headed by local developer Young Woo & Associates. Opening night close for Kent State performing arts center

Nation's first multistory green industrial facility opens in Brooklyn
The $25 million Perry Avenue Building at Brooklyn Navy Yard is the nation's first multilevel green industrial facility and the first building in New York to incorporate building-mounted wind turbines.
