Cladding stays high and dry

Cladding stays high and dry

By Staff | August 11, 2010
This article first appeared in the 200709 issue of BD+C.

Installed in more than 350,000 buildings worldwide, Dryvit's Outsulation Plus has a smaller carbon footprint than most competing cladding systems. The cladding drains away incidental moisture with a two-part process. First, an undercoating of Dryvit's Backstop NT and an application of the company's AquaFlash System at sills and openings blocks water penetration. Should any water get through, Outsulation's adhesive channels provide an easy path for moisture to follow—away from the building.
