The Tempe, Ariz., office of Otak has been selected for final design of the new City of Tempe Transportation Center adjacent to the Central Phoenix/East Valley Light Rail Project. The transportation center will become the front door to Arizona State University's Sun Devil Stadium in downtown Tempe. The project includes a Light Rail Events Station, a 15-bay bus transit center with shelters, two acres of urban plaza, and a three-story 32,000-sf, transportation office complex. The city has set a goal of achieving LEED Silver for the project. Scheduled opening: spring 2007.
