“The Weekly,” a new fast-paced streaming program featuring expert insights, timely discussion, and industry innovations, launched yesterday, Thursday, June 11, at 1:00 pm Eastern/10:00 am Pacific. Each week, experts in the commercial design and construction sector will be interviewed by the editors of Building Design+Construction. Register for The Weekly.

In the opening segment of the June 11 episode, Robins & Morton President and COO Robin Savage talks with BD+C's Robert Cassidy about the firm's two-week build to convert 250,000 sf of the Miami Beach Convention Center into a 450-bed field hospital in response to COVID-19. Savage also discusses obstacles (and creative solutions) the contractor giant is facing on jobsites during the pandemic.

In the program’s second segment, Scott Winstead, President of FMI Management Consulting, outlines winning strategies and tactics AEC firms can adopt for thriving during market downturns. He is interviewed by BD+C's David Barista.

Also featured is Gensler's J. Kevin Heinly, AIA, LEED AP, Managing Director San Diego office, who talks with BD+C's John Caulfield about the future of office buildings and workplace design in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Heinly outlines some best practices and innovations in workplace design.
