Milwaukee-based health center renovates for patient services

By Leslie Streicher, Associate Editor | August 17, 2011

To improve patient care and bolter medical services, the St. Clare Health Center in Milwaukee now features efficient layouts, private patient suites, in-room medication distribution, and electronic medical records. Designed and renovated by HGA Architects and Engineers and St. Louis-based SSM Health Care, the center provides a 20-bed patient area, a neurological intensive care unit, a cardiac catheterization lab, and a 3T MRI. The center, which opened last March, won the 2011 Vista Award for New Construction from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. Also on the Building Team: Alberici Constructors, KJWW Engineering, Northstar Management, and Hammes Co.
