Kolbe Windows & Doors Ultra Series & VistaLuxe WD LINE | Vacuum Insulating Glass for Energy-Efficient Windows and Doors
By Kolbe Windows & Doors
Through a partnership with LuxWall, Kolbe Windows & Doors is now able to integrate vacuum insulating glass (VIG) options into selected window and door products, starting with the Ultra Series and VistaLuxe WD LINE. The VIG offerings—featuring a small, virtually airless vacuum space between two panes of glass to create improved thermal insulation—include Enthermal and Enthermal Plus, which can be specified with performance divided lites and scale in sizes ranging from 12 by 18 inches up to 60 by 96 inches. Suited for new construction and replacement applications, the offerings aim to help reduce energy waste without compromising design.
Solatube Tubular Daylighting Devices | Daylighting Solutions for Senior Recreation Facilities in Tulsa, Okla.
By Solatube
As part of the expansion of LIFE Senior Services’ Roma Berry campus, a recreation facility that houses indoor pickleball and basketball courts was designed to support active aging with a bright, uplifting environment that encourages movement and social connection. The addition prioritized natural daylight, but needed to do so without introducing glare, excess heat or visual discomfort for guests, and Solatube Tubular Daylighting Devices became the ideal solution. Spaced evenly to deliver full-spectrum daylight across the facility, the 12 SolaMaster 330 DS-O units create a bright and visually comfortable playing environment, and built-in daylight dimmers allow staff to adjust light levels for different activities or conditions.
Armstrong MetalWorks Torsion Spring for Behavioral Health Ceiling System | Fire-Rated Ceiling Panels for Behavioral Health Facilities
By Armstrong World Industries
To help behavioral and mental health facilities meet standards for reduced patient risk, the MetalWorks Torsion Spring for Behavioral Health Ceiling System utilizes locking clips and stud bracing to secure ceiling panels in place and prevent unintended removal. Designed for easy installation, the ceiling panels come standard as FASTPeel products, and heavy-duty box molding at all perimeter locations simplifies grid attachment and panel installation at ceiling edges. The 30- by 30-inch ceiling panels come standard in a Whitelume color, are made of 15% recycled content and have an ASTM E84 Class A Fire Performance rating.
Allsteel D.C. Design Lab | Human-Centered Workplace Design and Materials Testing Lab in Washington, D.C.
