Daylight is plentiful at new children's hospital

From the colorful curtain wall envelope to the operable windows, Kawneer architectural aluminum products are contributing to the green campus of the newly constructed $625 million Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The facility incorporates nine Kawneer products, including 1600 SunShades, which are painted yellow to add vibrant flare to the exterior façade, and 8225TL Isolock operable windows, which allow fresh air and daylight into the healing spaces. Other products: the 1600 Wall System curtain wall, 1600 S.G. sloped glazing, Trifab VG 450 and 451T framing system, 560 Insulclad thermal entrances, 500 Wide Stile standard entrances, and Flushline entrances.
