FUSION launches as a unified platform for architecture, branding, and engineering

FUSION, formed by four leading studios, redefines design by integrating architecture, branding, engineering, interiors, and strategy into a single platform, addressing clients' demand for immersive experiences and operational excellence across multiple sectors nationwide.

FUSION announces its launch as a multidisciplinary design practice formed by four founding studios: ID Studio 4, Sperides Reiners Architects, ACi Architects, and Reztark Design Studio. The new firm integrates architecture, brand development, engineering, interiors, and strategy on a single platform.

Formerly Fusion AE, the rebranded practice unites 130 professionals across six rust-belt and sun-belt cities with $29.4 million in combined 2025 revenue, marking a notable step toward growth in an industry whose clients demand an integrated experience.

The launch arrives as operators, developers, and institutions increasingly evaluate real estate by the experiences it creates and the business outcomes those experiences support. They want operational performance, yes, but also identity, well-being, and a meaningful connection (JLL). In fact, 70% of executives say users' expectations for experience are outpacing their ability to meet them (PwC). Addressing this shift, FUSION presents a distinctive premise: architecture, engineering, interiors, and brand development should work together—on the same platform—to deliver more deeply engaging experiences.

"People don't experience architecture, brand development, engineering, interiors, and strategy separately. They experience one environment,” said Eric Reiners, AIA, President of FUSION. “The industry has traditionally delivered these disciplines in pieces. We built FUSION around the belief that integrating design disciplines within a single practice will produce the best environments."

The firm operates from Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Minneapolis, Orlando, and Tampa, serving clients and projects nationwide. Its practice spans more than ten sectors, with established depth in restaurants, housing, healthcare, and retail.

A practice built on complementary strengths

The four founding studios joined to complement their disciplines and sector expertise. Together, they form a platform that offers clients a single point of accountability while preserving the expertise and relationships of each legacy firm.

Brett Kratzer, AIA, Chief Strategy Officer of FUSION, explains: “We’re building a practice where design thinking drives the entire process, from early visioning through realization. By aligning disciplines together around a shared vision, we help clients create environments that feel more connected, more intentional, and more reflective of who they are.”

Each legacy studio keeps its team. What expands is the range of disciplines FUSION now brings to each assignment, from early visioning and brand strategy through architecture, interiors, and engineering realization.

“Small firms dominate the architecture, design, and engineering industries, which can make it hard for clients to get the depth of services and continuity they need,” says Brian Chandler, PE, Chief Operating Officer, FUSION. “By uniting four firms, we’re able to build the shared infrastructure that individual practices struggle to fund. This frees our teams to focus on design, and offers clients a resilient partner across market cycles.”
