Connectiv has named Building Design+Construction a winner in the 66th annual Jesse H. Neal Awards for “Best Instructional Content.” Considered the “Pulitzer Prize” of B2B publishing, the Neal Awards are the most esteemed honor in the business press, recognizing publications for editorial excellence and honoring their role in reporting on the key issues, trends, developments, and innovations across U.S. business.

The Neal Award recognizes BD+C team members Robert Cassidy, John Caulfield, David Malone, Cathy LePenske, and David Barista for their work on BDC University, the magazine’s online portal featuring a host of educational courses for architects, engineers, and contractors. The education platform includes topics designed to hone architects’ design sensibilities, and to help AEC professionals stay on top of leading technologies and critical construction elements, including “Applied Parametrics for Façade Designs and Materials” and “Design and Construction of Cannabis Facilities.”

“For AEC professionals, education is a crucial component—and requirement—of their career, and BDC University plays an important role in helping them fulfill that need,” said David Barista, BD+C Editorial Director. “This recognition by the Neal Awards means so much to the Building Design+Construction team because it indicates that we are doing our part to help our readers succeed in creating innovative, high-quality, long-lasting buildings.”

Building Design+Construction was one of two SGC Horizon publications to earn Neal Awards in 2020. Pro Builder won in the category of “Best Single Issue.”
