That's one heavy-duty ticket booth

Aug. 11, 2010

Tasked with designing a ticket booth for Florida Atlantic University's new arena, B.I.G. Enterprises, a manufacturer of prefabricated, blast-resistant booths, had to meet strict Florida hurricane and energy codes, in addition to heavy security requirements.

The company responded with the Aztec, a heavy-duty booth with 304 stainless steel plate floors, hurricane-rated doors with stainless steel hinges, steel-framed sliding transaction windows, and dual-pane insulating glass. The booth comes complete with electrical—including provisions for data, communication, and security camera systems—stainless steel shelves, and a high-output HVAC system.
