As a day use facility, 13,000-sf of flooring was recently installed at the Gary and Mary West Senior Wellness Center. The flooring needed to be durable and easily maintained, yet also provide aesthetic attributes for the staff and seniors using the facility. The designers at Smith Consulting Architects turned to Johnsonite’s Optima 24-inch tiles for a solution.
The tiles allowed the use of vibrant colors to provide wayfinding and room designation throughout the facility, It also provided a comfort level that would stand up to high foot and wheelchair traffic.
