Finger-touch dimmer

Finger-touch dimmer

August 11, 2010
This article first appeared in the 200812 issue of BD+C.

Easy-to-use dimmer combines sleek, minimalist design with finger-touch functionality. Vierti features a long, illuminated LED bar down the middle, which allows users to turn lights on, off, or to a selected light level with a touch or slide of the finger. When touched, the Vierti dimmer produces a soft beep to indicate that you are engaging it.

The dimmer includes an Advanced Programming Mode that allows facility managers to adjust the brightness of the LED bar, save a favorite light level for one-touch recall, set a longer delay-to-off wait time, adjust the fade on and off times, and set the maximum light level to 85% to reduce energy use.

The LED bar is available in three colors (blue, green, and white) and can be replaced if needed. Dimmer controls incandescent, magnetic low-voltage, electronic low-voltage, and fluorescent lighting sources.
