A new downtown will soon spring up in Lenexa, Kansas

Five years into its 20-year plan, Lenexa, Kan., is about to break ground on a 16-block mixed-use development that will create a new downtown for the city. The project is comprised of 430,000 sf of retail, 430,000 sf of office space, and 600,000 sf of residential, including high-end apartments and town homes. BNIM is the architect and JE Dunn Construction is the general contractor. Both are based in Kansas City, Mo.
