On track for fall 2011 completion, The Galleria is a retail-driven mixed-use project in the Swefiyah District of Amman, Jordan, with 560,000 sf and 10 stories of mid-level retail tenants, cafés, and restaurants. Office tenants will occupy 6,000 sf on the top floor of the $85.5 million structure, and the 430,000-sf underground area will be designated for parking. Los Angeles-based Nadel Architects designed the Galleria’s interior to achieve a modern look with curvaceous surfaces and features, a departure from the strong, cubic shapes common in Amman buildings.
