Corgan Associates, Inc. has been selected as the architect for the new Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance in the historic Dallas West End district. The general contactor for the museum is the BECK Group.

The contemporary, architecturally remarkable and new 50,000-square-foot facility will incorporate powerful symbolic elements designed to draw attention to and support the profound educational messages of the museum. Corgan Vice President David Zatopek explains, "It will become one of the most recognized elements in downtown Dallas — a new icon for this city." The owner intends to pursue LEED® certification.

"This is a building that is unlike any other in the city because it presents a story that is unlike any other in history," said museum President James Hogue. "This is history that moves you forward to confront the prejudice, hatred and apathy that is around us and inside us. Our bottom-line message is that indifferent people cannot build a different world."

Corgan has also been responsible for much of the planning in Dallas' historic district, completing the adaptive re-use and restoration of 11 of the most significant structures in the district.
