Houston hospital tops off expansion

Houston's Methodist Sugar Land Hospital topped off its $150 million expansion in September. The project, which is being led by program manager Boyken International, Houston, will add more than 130 patient beds and interior build-out space for an additional 56 beds. The expansion, which broke ground in August 2006, also includes a 158,000-sf medical office building, a 1,000-space parking facility, central utilities plant, renovation of existing facilities, and reconstruction of the storm sewer infrastructure. Completion: September 2009.
