The editors of BD+C are looking for highly qualified experts to advise us on technical issues related to building systems, new products and technologies, and the in's and outs of specific building types that we cover in the magazine (commercial, institutional, industrial, and multifamily buildings).

By "highly qualified experts," we mean professionals in a wide variety of disciplines - architecture, engineering, construction, AEC firm management, facilities, and building ownership and development. Such professionals will have served on technical committees in their respective professional organizations: AIA, ASHRAE, CSI, AGC, ABC, ACHA, ASHE, AASHE, BIM/VDC User Groups, and so forth. And they'll have a reputation for fairness, objectivity, and critical analysis.

We need your help in several ways: 1) helping us clarify technical issues or questions related to BD+C editorial content; 2) providing ideas and "leads" on specific technical topics, 3) identifying new trends and developments in the AEC industry; 4) occasionally reviewing an article proposal or draft; 5) contributing ideas or content for technical articles.

Before you get too excited, there's no compensation, other than acknowledgment of your generous contribution to Building Design+Construction. The time factor would be relatively minimal, perhaps an hour a month on average, but we would expect to hear back from you (by email, phone, or text) fairly quickly (12-24 hours) when we had a specific question for you. We'll keep it reasonable.

Still interested? Please email Rob Cassidy, Editorial Director, with information about yourself (a resume or short description, if that's convenient) and a suggestion as to where you think you might be able to help our editorial team.
