Lighting company turns to its own products to outfit new office complex

Oct. 11, 2011

When Amerillum Brands began constructing a new two-story office building and plant in Oceanside, Calif., the design team decided to outfit the complex with lighting from its own product line. The 54,000-sf building is now illuminated by 0.63 total watts per sf of Amerillum energy-efficient luminaires.

Kenneth D. Smith Associates and professional lighting designer Rosemarie Allaire integrated energy-efficient luminaries with the building architecture. Executive offices contain span-mount linear fixtures, while accounting offices incorporate non-glare lighting louvers. Ample window space helps fill the complex with natural daylight, cutting energy costs.
