The dining facility at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., did away with trays following a renovation that included new carpet tiles—and just two weeks later the tiles were a mess. New flooring became a priority. The university opted for Armstrong Natural Creations ArborArt and Mystix luxury vinyl tile, which has a UV-cured methane coating that provides the durability needed for a dining hall. A variety of color and finish options allowed the school to choose tiles that coordinated with the recent renovations.
