Interior sandwich panels

Aug. 11, 2010

Ideal for the construction of interior walls, partitions, and ceiling systems, foam-core panels are a lightweight, “green” alternative to traditional interior panel systems. Composed of a polystyrene foam core with a thin face material of hardboard, fiberboard, or plywood, Foamkore panels weigh as little as 12 oz/sf and are nearly 80% lighter than conventional panels of plywood, particleboard, or medium-density fiberboard. Available in eucalyptus fiber hardboard, which can contribute toward LEED credits. Panels come in 4x8-foot sheets and thicknesses from ¾ to three inches.
