Jacobs, AECOM, Gensler, Kimley-Horn, Stantec, WSP, Fluor, and Burns & McDonnell all surpassed $1 billion in design revenue last year to head Building Design+Construction's ranking of the nation's largest architecture and engineering firms for nonresidential buildings and multifamily buildings work, as reported in BD+C's 2026 Giants 400 Report.

This ranking is compiled from the nearly 600 AEC firms that completed the 2026 Giants 400 survey. Firms were asked to report gross revenue from commercial, institutional, multifamily, and industrial “buildings” work completed by their U.S./Canada-based staff/studios/divisions/teams. They were asked to exclude revenue from non-buildings work or from single-family residential work.

The Top 400 Building Design Firms ranking includes all firms featured in the four primary Giants 400 design firm rankings:

This ranking does not include contractor, design/build, or construction management (CM) revenue reported by firms. However, it does include contractors and CM companies that reported architecture and engineering revenue for 2025.
