LGBT certification for architecture, engineering, and construction firms
BD+C Executive Editor Rob Cassidy converses with Brent D. Zeigler, AIA, IIDA, President and Principal with Dyer Brown architecture firm in Boston and Atlanta, and Sabrina Gill Kent, Senior Vice President, NGLCC - National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, about the NGLCC's certification program for businesses that are LGBT majority-owned. Kent explains the certification process, and Zeigler gives the reasons his firm decided to get certified, particularly the opportunity to gain access to new clients.

Data centers in a pandemic world
BD+C Senior Editor John Caulfield interviews Whitney Villalobos, a vice president with Turner & Townsend, a construction management firm, which recently released a survey of data center experts about the future of the data center sector. That research includes construction cost tracking for 40 different markets. The conclusion of the report is that the data center sector got a boost from the pandemic, and is expected to remain strong going forward. Its greatest challenge will be finding skilled labor to meet demand.
