Southwest Virginia center to display regional art

The new Artisan Center of Southwest Virginia is intended to showcase local artisans and foster regional economic development. Located on the campus of Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon, Va., the 40,000-sf center will have gallery, exhibition, and retail space, a 3,000-sf conservatory, and an organic food café. Roanoke, Va.-based Spectrum Design will design the center.
