Reuse bolsters office complex renovations in New York

Construction is complete on 50,000 sf of office space for Royal Health Care, a health insurance third-party administrator. The new offices are located within CA Inc.’s 778,000-sf headquarters in Islandia, N.Y. Stalco Construction and LB Architects formed the Building Team. Renovations covered nine executive offices, four conference rooms, the IT and telecommunications room, the reception area, and 250 relocated workstations, with upgrades to the HVAC, electrical, and fire systems and ceiling replacements. Laminate floors were installed over 2,400 sf in the mailroom and employee cafeteria. The Building Team reutilized existing building systems to create raised computer flooring and spacious workstations.
