A retail gateway in the Bronx, with lots of space

Aug. 11, 2010

GreenbergFarrow, a New York-based architecture, site development, and engineering firm, recently completed the master plan for the $500 million Gateway Center at the Bronx (N.Y.) Terminal Market. The project provides one million sf of retail space within a 16.8-acre parcel, an area that would commonly deliver only about 160,000 sf of retail space. The New York office of Related is the developer of the South Bronx site, which is scheduled to open to the public in fall 2009. GreenbergFarrow served as both master planner and retail designer for the complex. The firm also guided the development through New York City's Uniform Land Use Review Procedure.
