The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will build a 250,000-sq.-ft. headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., that will include offices, mail distribution, production, and a museum on the history of evangelism. Charlotte-based developer The Keith Corp. will manage and develop the property, while Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, Charlotte, will serve as architect and engineer. Bovis Lend Lease, Charlotte, will provide construction services. Completion is scheduled for the end of 2004.

Fuscoe Engineering will provide engineering services for the California Department of Transportation District 7 Headquarters in Los Angeles, scheduled for completion in the fall of 2004. Other Building Team members include design architects Morphosis and construction managers O'Brien-Kreitzberg-URS. The 13-story, 712,00-sq.-ft. building will include below-grade parking for 1,142 vehicles and workspace for 2,282 Caltrans and L.A. Department of Transportation employees.

Oldcastle Precast Modular Group recently received the contract for design, prefabrication, and on-site erection of 256 custom precast prison cells for the 80,024-sq.-ft. Middlesex County Jail and House of Correction in Billerica, Mass. The new $36 million jail will be composed of two four-story buildings housing 504 inmates. Other Building Team members: STV Architects and Suffolk Construction Co. Inc.

The 1.5 million sq.-ft. Los Angeles County and USC Medical Center Replacement Facility, to break ground this spring, will include a seven-story outpatient building, an eight-story inpatient tower, and a five-story diagnostic and treatment building. McCarthy Building Companies, Newport Beach, Clark Construction Group, Costa Mesa, and Hunt Construction Group, Phoenix, make up the Building Team.
