Steel-frame curtain wall system features a narrower frame profile and three times the wind-load capacity of traditional aluminum framing, allowing for larger spans of glazing than with aluminum systems, according to the maker. The SteelBuilt Curtainwall System features a “plug and screw” connection system for the framing components, which provides for crisp corner joints without a visible weld bead. The system is watertight, and the low heat transfer coefficient of steel helps ensure less interior condensation on the frames. Available in fire-rated and non-fire-rated systems.
