GKD unveils Silentmesh ceiling system

GKD unveils Silentmesh ceiling system

By BD+C Staff | July 8, 2013

New from architectural metal mesh manufacturer GKD, Silentmesh is a multi-layer ceilings system constructed using metal fabric and an underlayment of acoustic absorption material. Silentmesh offers a clean, modern aesthetic in a rigid suspension system that can be molded into custom shapes. The trick is the company's Composite Mesh Plate technology, which combines metal fabric with an aluminum honeycomb plate, providing rigidity and long panel spans.

Benefits include:

  • Large format
  • Sound absorbency
  • Monolithic effect
  • Improved acoustics
  • High level of stability
  • Elegant aesthetics
  • No sagging
  • Precisely-shaped ceilings
