When Tyson Foods’ Noel, Mo., production facility was in need of a new roof, the work had to be completed quickly and neatly. Harness Roofing replaced the 1,968-sf roof and decided to seal it with bitumen. There was one condition: an open flame could not be used during roofing work. Harness chose Leister Technologies AG’s BITUMAT B2 hot-air tool to finish the job. The flame-free tool, which can be operated by single laborer, enabled a working speed of nearly 23 feet per minute and met Tyson’s torch restrictions.
