Turner Construction has completed the $450 million Newseum, an interactive museum of news and journalism on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Designed by Polshek Partnership Architects, New York, the Newseum is three times as large as the museum it replaced in Virginia. The façade features a “window on the world” that looks out on Pennsylvania Avenue and the Mall. The 45 words of the First Amendment are etched into a stone panel facing Pennsylvania Avenue. At the $20 admission fee, that's nearly 45 cents per word.
