New York City requiring building energy use to be posted online

October 28, 2011

Commercial buildings will have to post this information in 2012; residential buildings will be given until 2013. Such a move could have a transformative effect on the city, environmentalists and architects say, giving valuable information to tenants while prodding owners to invest in cleaner, greener design.
