Mystery buyer pays highest ever price for NYC residence

Jan. 19, 2015

The 89th and 90th floors of 157 W. 57th Street have just been purchased by a mysterious buyer for more than $100 million. Fox News reports that it is the most anyone has ever paid for a New York City residence.

The tower is also known as ONE57, a luxury condominium complex designed Christian de Portzamparc. It contains an indoor pool complex, private dining area, and library.

Among the buyer's new neighbors will be Lawrence Stroll and Silas Chou, who helped make Michael Kors a public company.
