By Leslie Streicher, Associate Editor | August 17, 2011

Batson-Cook Co. is serving as general contractor for the new 30,000-sf Valley Healthcare System facility in Columbus, Ga. The $6.5 medical office building will provide local residents with a community health center housing more than 40 exam rooms for primary care. Also included are a retail pharmacy, optical center, and diagnostic services facilities. Local firms Newton Aaron & Associates (CM) and designer Hecht Burdeshaw Architects are also on the Building Team. The one-story facility will provide internal medicine, women’s health, pediatric health, general dentistry, behavioral health, and general health practices. A therapy garden and 150+ parking spaces round out the design.
